Chloe McNeece
Fellow Traveler Counseling Associate Therapist
MA, LCHMCA, NCC
At age six, Chloe experienced the sudden loss of her father. To support her through the grief, Chloe’s loved ones sought therapy for her. Chloe found comfort in the therapeutic process and has always wanted to share that peace with others. Throughout her experience of being a client herself, Chloe realized how much the therapeutic relationship allowed her to process her inner world, knowing there was someone who was there to listen, make her feel seen and heard, which brought change within her.
Knowing that she wanted to provide the space to process and heal to others who themselves are struggling, Chloe has pursued an education in care through mental health. First earning her bachelor's from UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies, she continued on to earn a master’s in counseling from UNC-Charlotte, specializing in play therapy and school counseling.
With experience as both an elementary and high school counselor, Chloe understands the challenges children and adolescents face and is skilled at guiding families through developmental stages and transitions. She prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships and offering a safe, trusting space where clients are empowered to make positive change. She views therapy as a collaborative process, where the client’s unique experiences and goals guide the work, and she is committed to walking alongside her clients as they explore with her.
Creating a personalized approach for each client, Chloe focuses care on children (ages 3-10), adolescents, and young adult women. She finds joy in working with clients through grief and loss, interpersonal issues, everyday life transitions/stressors, and low self-esteem/confidence. Additionally, she is trained in Child-Parent Relationship (CPRT) skills to help parents continue supporting their children through building a stronger relationship through play. Her approach is person-centered and child-centered with mindfulness-based, and expressive arts techniques, all within an inclusive and affirming environment.
