Fellow Traveler Counseling

Practicing Clinical Intern

Ava earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ithaca College and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.

Ava is deeply passionate about helping young adults and the elderly who experience anxiety and depression, as well as supporting individuals navigating the challenges of chronic illness. Having been diagnosed with three chronic illnesses at a young age, Ava has personally faced physical pain, depression, and anxiety.

It was through her own therapy journey that she discovered the transformative power of healing. As she pursued her education and overcame her personal challenges, her commitment to counseling grew stronger. Today, Ava is dedicated to helping others heal in the same way.

Her goal is to equip clients with the tools they need to overcome life's difficulties. Ava understands that the path through chronic illness can often feel overwhelming, but she is committed to showing her clients that healing is possible with the right support. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion and self-confidence, combining cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and narrative therapy to foster lasting change.
