Fellow Traveler Counseling
Practicing Clinical Intern
Ann Parke believes healing happens through authentic connection and strives to build a therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Her passion for counseling was shaped by her own experience with grief and the healing process, inspiring her commitment to providing a safe and supportive space for others.
Ann Parke earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in women’s and gender studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Wake Forest University.
She is passionate about working with women in emerging adulthood who are navigating challenges related to self-worth, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, ADHD, and body image. Ann Parke uses a person-centered, collaborative approach drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy to help clients explore their stories and make meaningful changes.
Ann Parke has hands-on experience working as a Lead Recovery Advocate at New Waters Recovery. There, she coordinated client care and led group sessions, which cemented her dedication to the counseling field. Additionally, her professional background includes volunteering at New Leaf Behavioral Health, where she supported clinical programs and managed client records.
