Stephanie Weber

Fellow Traveler Counseling

Associate Therapist

MA, LCMHCA

Stephanie first understood the deep emotional pain caused by untreated mental health struggles at just fifteen, when she lost a close friend to suicide. This tragic event is what led Stephanie toward the practice of mental health care, where she could help others by addressing their concerns through therapy. She now provides sessions for children, teens, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, suicidal ideation, and trauma. Stephanie is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming environment where individuals feel truly understood, valued, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

Her therapeutic orientation is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions, tailored to each client’s needs.

Born and raised abroad, Stephanie repatriated when she chose to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. As a Tar Heel, she played on the university’s field hockey team, winning four NCAA national championships and five ACC titles. She continues to share a passion for the sport by coaching youth field hockey.

Her athletic experience has given her unique insight into the psychological toll of high-pressure environments, a perspective she now uses to support clients managing stress, performance anxiety, and personal expectations.

Stephanie has worked across intensive outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health settings and now offers individualized care in private practice.
